Come to the Lord's Park Zoo to meet some Incredible Bats! Bat Conservationists, Dan and Sharon Peterson, will have their African straw-colored and Egyptian fruit bats on display to the public. You'll be able to get an up-close look at these beautiful animals, and ask the experts everything you've ever wanted to know about them. This is a free program presented by the Elgin Public Museum. One of these used to roam Illinois by the thousands, the other still does. Both call Lords Park Zoo their home. Join the staff of the Elgin Public Museum during this free program to learn all about these beautiful creatures that have adapted to human presence. We are very pleased to have iguana rescuers Rose and Jim Hunter at the Lords Park Zoo to share the wonderful world of iguanas with us. Join us for an up close and personal look at the bison, deer and elk at the Lords Park Zoo.
