Children explore the natural world through stories and exhibits at the Elgin Public Museum. This month we will read about alligators! Donations welcome. No registration required.

Drawing Adventures
11 am - 12 pm; $10 per person

Elgin Public Museum of Natural History & Anthropology presents Drawing Adventures, a fun new monthly program for aspiring artists. Students will learn basic drawing skills while completing drawings of interesting animals and natural subjects. February's theme is TBD. $10 per person includes all needed supplies. These lessons are for children 1st grade and older, so bring the whole family!

Advance registration is required; call the museum at 847-741-6655 to reserve your space. Maximum of 20 students per session.

Bison Feeding in Lords Park
7 am - 8:30 am; $5/Adult, $2/Child, Members Free

Join us for an up close and personal look at the bison, deer and elk at the Lords Park Zoo. Meet at the Museum for a short introduction after which we head for the zoo to assist the zookeeper in feeding these magnificent creatures. Registration required. Space is limited to 12 people so please register early!
